Do you know Obi-wan Kenobi?

"Do you know Obi-wan Kenobi?" asked Ben. Ben is seven. He sits at the same table as Airi, the little Japanese girl I've been helping.



I wasn't sure if he'd been asking me if I'm hella-tight with Obi-wan or just if I know who the man is. I side with caution. "Not personally."

Wrong. "But do you know WHO he is?"

"Sure."

Ben leans closer to me and his eyes squint as if for all the world he's about to share something of extreme importance. "Your beard..."

"er... yes?"

"It's just the same as Obi-wan's!" and with that dispensed with he turns back around and continues to draw helmeted soldiers and mock the boy sitting opposite him.








And all this time I thought I was more of a Luke Skywalker kinda guy.
